Founded in Switzerland’s Le Locle in 1853 by Charles-Félicien Tissot, a gold case fitter, and his watchmaker son Charles-Emile, the father and son team started by producing a large range of pocket watches and pendant watches in gold. Today, the brand has a number of collections including the T-Touch whose functions are activated by touching the sapphire crystal, the Chrono XL, Le Locle Chronometer, and the Heritage to name a few.
Tissot recently unveiled its first connected collection with an in-house operating system and solar movement. Tissot is part of The Swatch Group.

In the 1960s and ‘70s Tissot created fun collections, especially for teenagers.
In 1999 Tissot produced a rock watch made out of natural stone.
Tissot is the official timekeeper of the famous cycling competition, Le Tour de France.
