The Montblanc company is based in Hamburg, Germany, and initially gained recognition for its elegant writing instruments. The company was founded in 1906 and didn’t start making timepieces until much later in 1997.

In 2006, the Compagnie Financière Richemont S.A purchased the legendary movement manufacture Minerva (that had been making exceptional watch movements since 1858) and put it to the service of Montblanc’s exceptional pieces. Today, over 20 years later, the watchmaking division now counts a number of important collections, including the Star Legacy, TimeWalker, 1858, Montblanc Heritage, and Bohème. Montblanc timepieces are particularly appreciated for their excellent value for money.
