Hermès was established in Paris in 1837 and started crafting saddles and harnesses for horses before diversifying into other leather goods and luxury items. The Maison first started making watch straps in the 1920s, which was shortly followed by watches. La Montre Hermès SA was founded in the city of Bienne in 1978 to develop an entire collection of Hermès watches.

Today, Hermès Horloger is composed of Les Ateliers de La Montre Hermès in Brügg, where the Maison makes its own leather straps, and Les Ateliers d’Hermès Horloger in Noirmont in the Swiss Jura, where the cases and dials are crafted. Hermès has a large selection of watches from beautifully elegant quartz watches to the most sophisticated mechanical complications.
