This is WHO WORE WHAT, a series spotlighting the hottest wrists of the week, documenting the classic, the chic, the weird and the wonderful watches over the past seven days.

What is it about celebrities that makes us want to stop and stare and see what they’re wearing? Either way, we’re happy to oblige and gawk in awe, amaze and shock(!) at their wrists to see exactly who is wearing what. In the week where the world united to commemorate and celebrate the life of Virgil Abloh, we documented some of the must-see watches out and about on wrists this week. Take your pick!

Tom Holland in Patek Philippe

When it comes to Tom Holland, all anyone wants to talk about right now is his blooming romance with Zendaya. While it warms the cockles of our heart, we want to talk about his wrists. Another accolade for Patek this week as Spiderman himself, Tom Holland can be seen sporting the 5168G Aquanaut. Numerical jargon aside, the watch pays tribute to the 20th anniversary of the Aquanaut, a coveted and widely recognised PP model launched in 1997. It features an embossed dial subtly gradated from black to night blue in a satin-finished bezel. It comes as just one of the watches in Holland’s ever-growing collection featuring a Santos de Cartier and a Piaget Altiplano Skeleton Watch.

A strong contender to the Patek Philippe Nautilus this year, when it comes to popularity, is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. Ironically, both the brainchild of Gerald Genta, Megan thee Stallion, on her days off from an RM, can be seen sporting an iced out 37mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in stainless steel, fully afterset with round white VS1 diamonds and an Arabic dial. For hot girl summer and every day in between, the bezel and links are set in a complete honeycomb setting with absolutely no metal showing. To quote MTS herself: “Shout out to them girls who go where the money go.”

In the week where musician and Migos Offset took to the runway at Virgil Abloh’s last show for Louis Vuitton in Miami, the rapper was later seen taking to Instagram sharing photos of his latest Patek Philippe model with the caption “Plotting on my next move to secure my kids future.” Sure enough, their future’s will be bright if Offset gifts them his $290,000 watch. Not the first in his Patek collection, Offset opts for the Patek Philippe Nautilus Rose Gold Chronograph 5980/1R-001 this time, regarded for its rounded octagonal bezel, the ingenious porthole construction of its case, and its horizontally embossed dial. According to Christie’s, it originally retailed for $3,100 when it first came out in 1976.

Another one. That’s right, another Rolex model to add to his collection, DJ Khaled took to Instagram this week to share with fans a meeting with Mary J.Blige ahead of their newest song collaboration ‘Amazing.’ Sharing his outfit with the title ‘Smile 😊 it’s important it’s self care’ the artist documents his trainers, to his watch. Leaving us wholly certain that we have vastly different views on self-care, mostly down to our wallets, DJ Khaled can be seen sporting an 18k yellow gold version of the Rolex Sky-Dweller with a champagne dial and diamond hour markers.
