This is WHO WORE WHAT, a series spotlighting the hottest wrists of the week, documenting the classic, the chic, the weird and the wonderful watches over the past seven days.

What is it about celebrities that makes us want to stop and stare and see what they’re wearing? Either way, we’re happy to oblige and gawk in awe, amaze and shock(!) at their wrists to see exactly who is wearing what. Lust over the coolest watches right now, from Patek Philippe to Audemars Piguet. Take your pick!

Meghan Markle in Cartier

You’d do well to see Meghan Markle wearing a watch that isn’t a Cartier Tank Francaise. Following the success of Suits in Markle’s heyday as an actress, she rewarded herself with a two-tone model for $5,800, a gift she wanted to pass onto her daughter one day.

But her penchant for the Française is pretty apparent, donning her late Mother-in-Law, the Princess Diana’s gold version, at the Invictus Games, paired with a cream Valentino suit.

Drake in Rolex

We’ll never forget when Drizzy made the tactful reference to the Swiss powerhouse, Rolex, in his seminal hit ‘Nonstop.’ To expresses that he is working non-stop, Drake uses a reference to Oyster Rolex wrist watches as a metaphor for never-ending movement, because those models are equipped with self-winding mechanical system. Neat, right? But this week, Champagne Papi cheated on Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis and went for a Nautilus 5711/1300A in stainless steel, with an olive green dial and 32 baguette diamonds, surrounding the bezel.

Price: $94,000

Mark Wahlberg in Patek Philippe

Mark Wahlberg’s Uncharted might not have had the reviews it hoped for, but his watch certainly does. Sending shock waves through the industry on its release – not quite like the riotous  Swatch x Omega kind – the Tiffany & Co. x Patek Philippe collab had every drooling, not just at the dial of perfection but the hefty price tag too.

Price: Too much tbh.

Kim Jones in Rolex

Since 2018, British menswear designer Kim Jones has been revolutionising the fashion industry from the top down, as Dior Men’s artistic director and Fendi’s artistic director since September 2020. While our jaws have remained firmly in awe on the floor since then, Jones has been amassing an impressive watch collection too, showcasing an iced out Rolex Datejust 41mm, modified by his friend Eden Diamonds. It’s quite literally the anithesis of low-key and we’re absolutely OK with that.
